The current engine needs replacement. I have checked with D&D Motors, and an engine replacement is estimated at around Rs. 600,000, with the total cost including labour expected to be approximately Rs. 800,000â900,000.
A rebuild may also be possible, but the engine has never been opened, so I cannot guarantee whether a rebuild would be suitable. The buyer can inspect the car and make their own decision.
Apart from the engine, everything else is working fine. The automatic gearbox is in excellent condition.
Open to inspection and serious buyers are welcome to inspect the vehicle before purchasing.
Selling as-is due to the engine replacement requirement. A good opportunity for someone who knows RX-8s and wants to restore one properly.
